New iOS 4.2.1 Golden Master Fixes VoIP Ringing Issue
Posted by Christina Lopez on November 26th, 2010
We are thrilled to report that Golden Master 4.2.1, which Apple released yesterday http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/18/apple-posts-ios-4-2-1-gm-seed-ipads-salivate-in-wait/, fixed the bug that caused an issue with the ringing function in Line2 as well as other VoIP calling applications. As part of our commitment to service, we sent out an email alert on Nov 17 advising that you should avoid upgrading to iOS 4.2 because it caused Line2 and other apps to function improperly. Thanks to Apple quickly fixing this iOS bug we are happy to announce that that Line2 has no known issues with iOS 4.2, so feel free to upgrade your device.
One extra bit of good news for iPad Line2 users is that iOS 4.2 now supports backgrounding on iPads. This means you can run Line2 in the background and receive incoming calls while you are browsing the Internet or using another app.
