We All Want Something for Nothing

There are a few things in life that we can always be sure of. As the old saying goes, ‘we can be sure that everyone will pass away and we have to pay our taxes.’ Beyond that, it is a given that we all want something for nothing! Everyone loves a ‘give away’ and when there are promotional products to be had everyone will line up for freebies. Why do you think those ads keep coming out ‘first 100 people in the door’ get some specific deal or free gift are so successful? You got it – because we all want something for nothing!

Several times a year, all the big names in cosmetics give away a free promotional cosmetic bag full of makeup and beauty care items with the purchase of any product. That is something we can all learn from. Free promotional items can be a great way to drum up extra business while getting some additional advertising free of charge! Of course you paid for the promotional item, but every time that person uses the product that you gave away free they will think of your company and so will their friends and family. Give them a free promotional item that they can wear or use outside the home and you are reaching hundreds, or thousands of other people!

Some of the most visible free promotional gifts would include things like promotional bags, packs and totes. These items are carried outside the home and will therefore be seen by a myriad of people. The best promotional gifts provide advertising to the person the item is given to as well as other people who are encountered along the way. It stands to reason that if you give a promotional gift that is to be used outside the home and is highly visible, a ton of people will see that item imprinted with your company’s logo and/or contact information.

Backpacks, briefcases, attaches, gift bags, paper shopping bags, insulated lunch bags, cooler bags, laundry bags, messenger bags, computer bags, printed plastic bags, sports bags, gym bags, tote bags, travel duffels and even weekend bags are all great items to give as promotions that will be seen by a maximum number of people. Promotional items are a great resource when looking for a way to do residual advertising. Each and every time that bag is used, your company’s name will be carried around and that’s what good advertising is all about. Pay once and keep the ball rolling!
